The Strong Kids Campaign is central to
the Y's mission of community service.
Our 2009 Strong Kids Campaign Goal is $75,000
Your help will go a long way toward helping us fulfill our promise to the community that no child will ever be turned away because of inability to pay.
Open to All
All money raised in our annual Strong Kids Campaign is used to support the YMCA’s life-changing programs for children, youth, adults, seniors and families in our communities.
Everyone deserves the Y but many of the children and families most in need of YMCA programs and services cannot pay full program fees.
Last year, our YMCA provided more than $3 million in needbased financial assistance.
Part of the Solution
When communities encounter challenges, they turn to charities like the YMCA with proven track records of problem-solving for help.
Since 1859, our YMCA has been there to meet community needs and is committed to being a part of the solution.
The Soundview Family YMCA receives hundreds of requests for financial assistance each year. Thankfully, through the generosity of people like you, the YMCA has been able to satisfy these requests.
A Place to Belong
The need to belong. It is one of the fundamental building blocks all children require in order to develop into self-confident young men and women.
YMCA programs like aquatics, childcare, youth sports and resident camping all build confidence and reveal character, develop skills, and infuse core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Soundview YMCA offers opportunities for young people to reach their maximum potential through leadership development programs. Teens will also find a place of their own at our Teen Center.
